Save the Date: Inclusive Humanitarian Financing for Women and Girls

Qatar Fund for Development, UN Women, the Islamic Development Bank and the Making Aid Work for Displaced Women project at the University of Birmingham cordially invite you to a high-level roundtable, “Building Trust through Inclusive Humanitarian Financing for Women and Girls,” convened on the margins of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The roundtable will explore the potential of Islamic social finance and innovative financing approaches to advance more inclusive and gender-responsive humanitarian financing for women and girls affected by conflict and displacement.

Bringing together representatives from multilateral development banks, international organisations, the United Nations, governments and the private sector, alongside humanitarian practitioners, experts and leaders of women-led organisations, the discussion will provide a platform to exchange perspectives on strengthening partnerships, trust and locally led responses, and on advancing financing approaches that better address the needs of women and girls in fragile and humanitarian contexts.

The event will take place on 24 September 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (ET) at UN Women Headquarters in New York, with participation available both in person and online.
