Description

This panel brings together interdisciplinary perspectives to interrogate how Islamic
philanthropy, Gulf State aid practices, and Muslim-led humanitarian actors are reshaping
global aid architectures. Amid intensifying crises, shifting geopolitical alignments, and
renewed scholarly interest in vernacular and faith-sensitive humanitarianisms, the panel
examines how Islamic norms, values, and institutions both complement and challenge
dominant humanitarian paradigms.
